Because when he says he didn’t want to hear Seunghyun out, I don’t think that comes from indifference or lack of love. Quite the opposite. To me, it comes from fear. Fear because he already knows himself well enough to know he would end up forgiving him easily. And that says a lot. Because if he truly felt nothing, forgiving Seunghyun would not scare him this much. But what hurt me the most were his questions. Do I really love Seunghyun? Are my feelings even real? Or is this something I was taught? And I honestly feel like a lot of people are overlooking just how devastating these thoughts actually are. Yuta did not learn love from a healthy place. He spent years surviving pain, abandonment and situations where he had to adapt just to make it through. He was taught to please, to perform, to navigate emotions in ways tied to survival. So of course it makes sense that now he questions whether what he feels truly comes from himself… or if it is something shaped by everything he endured. And yet, to me, the saddest part is that I feel like Yuta already has the answer somewhere inside him. Because someone who feels nothing does not think like this. They do not break apart like this. They are not afraid of hearing the other person out because they know they would end up forgiving them. The problem is that love also means becoming vulnerable. And for someone who has suffered as much as Yuta has, loving Seunghyun probably also means the constant fear of being hurt, abandoned or emotionally destroyed all over again. That is why, when he shuts down again or acts like he hates all of this, I do not think it necessarily comes from genuine hatred. To me, it comes from fear. Because sometimes, after suffering for so long, love stops feeling safe and starts feeling terrifying. 😭
