As a UX designer, it’s almost impossible to use a website or app casually. I notice the flows, the experience, the aesthetic and the tiny details… sometimes so much that I forget the reason I opened it in the first place.😂

Day 2 at #ABF2025 Recap - Creativity is a competitive edge, not a soft skill - Africa must move from tech users to tech creators - AI is a tool, the human advantage is still community, context and values - The future of work will reward adaptability and continuous learning

As early as October 2024, I was on a call with @InfluencerDee , and we were gisting. She revealed to me that she and some of her folks were planning a conference of simlitudes with Token2049, but in Africa. Basically, they wanted to organise the biggest conference in Africa, and I was like, oh, the best place to hold such is definitely Kigali. That place is fast developing like crazy, and it’s visa-free for all Africans. She affirmed, saying it was a good idea and she would tell her folks. Fast forward 1 year later. @africablockfest is an actual thing, and it is just at the first edition, but you can already tell that it is gonna be the biggest web3 conference in Africa. I gotta say, I didn’t think it would take off on such a scale. It is so, so crazy, and everyone is talking about it. With partnerships with the 1% of the 1% in web3 like Bybit, Binance, and OKX, ABF is really gonna put the spotlight on our continent with this. Did I mention the Rwandan government even backs them? Still think they’re playing here?? As for me, I am going on a mission, and my mission is to carry as much merch as I can. I have dedicated an extra ecolac for this venture. So if you by any chance look for your merch at Kigali, I want you to know it is me, I am the one, I am responsible. See yall at Kigali with my ecolac…..

My Rwanda Recap: Day 1 ➮ because life finally slowed down for me to talk about it🫶🇷🇼 I traveled to Kigali, Rwanda on the 6th of November ahead of @africablockfest The start of the trip was intense, I almost missed my flight while finalizing merch and rollup banners for @tulaylabs mixer, which was scheduled to happen during the first day of the festival as a side event. Everything arrived at the airport just in time and I managed to board the flight, really grateful that it all worked out. When I arrived in Kigali around 9pm, the cold was unexpected but the city itself immediately impressed me. It was so clean, organized and calm. A friend picked me up and took me to my apartment. Even with limited rest, I knew I had two major responsibilities the next day👇 ➡️ Attending the Africa Blockchain Festival & ➡️ Hosting the Tulay Labs Mixer. Day 1 began at Kigali Convention Center, where I spent the morning engaging with founders, builders and teams from across Africa. The energy, the exchange of ideas and the commitment to building in the web3 ecosystem from everyone were inspiring. By the afternoon, I headed to the venue for the mixer with my Co-founder @DavidAdeola_ to set up. Guests started arriving at 4pm and it was a meaningful moment to see our months of preparation come to life. Hosting the mixer was a defining experience for us. We shared the story of Tulay Labs, our mission to bridge African Web3 talent to global opportunities and our vision for impact in the ecosystem. A couple of builders pitched, connections were made and the conversations reflected the purpose behind what we are building. Big thank you to my awesome speakers @Ebunayo08, @SarahWahinya, @Phos_King and @asaphcyusa01 who made out time to share their knowledge on how to scale the African Web3 ecosystem during the mixer And also another thank you to @Theblessingemah our wonderful host, who made the mixer very engaging and interactive, @kagondu_yvonne, @apostleoffin, @Smartecio, @InfoSpace_OG, @TweetByWale, @sm01chad, @vhictorry, @MonathePersona, @TeekayKun, @hav3rs and everyone who showed up for the mixer It was a soft launch but it carried the weight of something much bigger ➡️ the beginning of a movement and a vision taking shape. The work has only just begun, I'm really excited for what we have cooking at Tulay Labs. Stay tuned for Day 2🫶 #ABF2025
