Is Hamas surrendering? Are Jordan, Syria or Egypt holding Hamas responsible or enabling them? Are those same countries helping to remove the citizens of Palestine? Is Hamas releasing the hostages? Are there peace talks taking place? I don't think it's reasonable to expect Israel to wait for all that to happen first. Waiting also gives Hamas time to recuperate, reorganize and remobilize with their surrounding support as backup.

Israel launching a full-blown ground war in Gaza will massively increase the already awful civilian death toll. I understand the desire to wipe out Hamas after last week’s wicked terror attacks, but how can killing so many innocent Palestinians in the process be justified?
