Pour moi un des meilleurs line-up de l'histoire. Benson à la guitare, Upchurch à la basse, Harvey Mason aux drums, Klemmer au sax, Jean Luc Ponty au violon, Roy Ayers au xylo et Herbie aux claviers pour son classique "Chameleon" en 1977...super wowzer😍🔥

Here's the third beat I've made on the Akai MPC Sample. Let me know what y'all think below. The workflow for this machine really started to click for me on this beat. As a result, this was the first beat that I made where I was totally in the flow, not thinking at all, just doing. I grabbed one record and found the keys, the very next record I picked up had the vocal sample on it, and then the next record had the piano. Chopped them up, then programmed the drums last. I was initially having some small problems looping longer samples on this machine. Then I remembered that for machines like this it's usually best to break up your longer loops into into smaller loops and that fixed my issues. Also got a better understanding of using the Note Off feature and how to chop and truncate samples smoother on this beat. Somebody asked me if i had dumped any of these beats into a DAW or if they were straight out of the machine. Just to clarify, all of these beats are straight out of the MPC Sample, no mixing, all in the box. Still learning, but man is this thing fun so far. Will post more soon...
