Had a forward-looking meeting with Ms. @elinrs, Director General, International Development Cooperation, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland, on the sidelines of #IRENA16A in Abu Dhabi. The exchange focused on technical cooperation to scale geothermal energy in India as part of the #CleanEnergy transition. Appreciated Iceland’s leadership in non-fossil energy systems, geothermal expertise and clean industrial processes. Reaffirmed India–Iceland cooperation in #RenewableEnergy, including pilot projects, capacity building and knowledge exchange and scope to deepen collaboration in geothermal projects. Also discussed emerging opportunities in clean energy supply chains and low-carbon industrial value chains, leveraging Iceland’s expertise and India’s scale for a resilient global energy transition. #IRENA16A #EnergyTransition
