EVs are all well and good until you have to travel 400-600kms to your hometown!! When it really matters this thing feels like a worry!! I would pay more for petrol/diesel car rather than nervously travelling long distance!!

@shreemallatheru @volklub Exactly. In a fast-growing market, percentage share alone can create a misleading narrative if absolute volumes remain relatively stable. This is why “ICE is dying” headlines often ignore the scale effect of India’s expanding auto market.

@icelectrichq @volklub Correct. Also, 18% of 5 million is 0.9 million, and 10% of 8 million is 0.8 million. So even if market share shrinks by 10%, the actual drop would only be 0.1 million in absolute numbers, which is nothing.

Opting a tech and forcing a tech are two different things.

@shreemallatheru @volklub India’s advantage is that it doesn’t necessarily need to follow a single-path transition. EVs, hybrids, biofuels and CNG can complement each other depending on the use case.
