@icherishwriting Cyril’s new partner and for the show to very poorly explore an interracial relationship. The show is Call the Midwife, the midwives need to be front and centre. Also kinda ick for the show to be doing another pregnant midwife bride story, literally a year after Nancy.

@aliceisfunny It does seem like they forgot about Lucille, didn't they? I wish Phyllis would throw us a little something about her. And yes, Rosalind needs some time to be. As soon as she showed up, I feel she was flirting with Cyril.

@icherishwriting At least all her friends in Poplar have forgotten about her, so she’d probably never find out. But it’s stillbittersweet for those of us who enjoyed Lucille’s character. Also Rosalind deserves some more time to be her own person b4 being rushed into motherhood & marriage

@icherishwriting I feel like they really fast tracked Cyril and Rosalind after Lucille asked him for a divorce. Like, could have slowed it down a bit. But they just completely mishandled her departure storyline, knowing the actress wasn’t coming back.

Old fashioned but I would make sure a man was absolutely fully divorced before starting a relationship with him, which is my problem with this Cyril/Rosalind relationship. And the fact that none of it really fits who Lucille was on the show. #MidwifePBS

@icherishwriting Completely agree. It just doesn’t feel fitting of who they presented Lucille as. I found it odd that Cyril told Rosalind that divorce is what Lucille wanted which felt to me like he was saying it wasn’t what he wanted.
