@KendiArtista For the "well done" parts/crust of the meat, it can be thought of as, The darkest part where the char is follows how the specific protein is seared! Where the food would directly touch heat is where the char/dark is (could be grill marks, seared skin on pan fry salmon, etc)

@icicleteeth I see, thanks for letting me know. If painting well done meat won't look as good with all browns, what would be ur suggestion as for a method or contrasting colors to use to give off the well done appearance while making it look good?

@KendiArtista Photo references will be your best friend, but it also helps to think of it with the same logic as you would ordering meat in real life... Going a medium rare (some pink in the middle) will usually look good, but well done (painting the center all brown) wont look good 😖

@icicleteeth Highkey the way you color and paint food, especially meat, is insanely well done (lol). Do you have any tips on coloring certain things like that? Do you take color/ inspiration from stock photos, how do u figure it out?

Certainly one of my most interesting works, to make partially molding food look gross but still tasty to some degree...
