The massive studios have most/all the big titles and the marketing budget so it takes something truly unique and special to overcome that from a small-mid sized studio. We still see it from time to time, but not as often as I’d like these days. I’m guessing the big guys acquiring a lot of the mid sized is a contributing factor as well.

@iclickbutt0ns yeah, maybe, but that's mostly AAA titles, what about the smaller studios? maybe part of the issues is we have all these massive studios and then we have all these super small dev teams, but the truly good games were built in mid sized studios that no longer exist
