@thatcrypt00guy @esjesjesj I agree somewhat. The only thing is that Muhammad Ali is a real person and the things he went through are inherently tied to his race and culture. However the Odyssey is a fictional story where the character’s appearance isn’t as necessary to the overarching story.

Well u might not care but it’s misrepresentation disguised as inclusion and I feel they’re more serious ways to address racism, classism and sexism than just adding certain characters in movies. She’s a great actress yes but imagine a movie about Muhammad Ali with Vin Diesel playing Muhammad Ali it’s just weird

As a black person I feel the forced inclusion is disrespectful. We don’t have to be in every movie and neither do the lgbtq community in some contexts it just doesn’t fit. I didn’t watch bridgerton but my sister tells me season 4 had black people in royal family and I’m sure black people where very much still salves and not considered human in Britain in the 1800s. So that representation wasn’t necessary imo
