The Institute Counselling Services (@ics_nitr), NIT Rourkela successfully organized Resilient Mindfulness Week in recognition of 'World #SuicidePreventionday 2024'. This initiative aimed to raise awareness and create a supportive environment that prioritizes the mental well-being of the students. Through a series of carefully planned events, participants gained valuable insights into #MentalHealthAwareness. The event commenced on 08.09.2024 with 'Perspectives', a two-day series of guest lectures by esteemed professionals in the field of mental health, who shared their expertise on crucial aspects of emotional well-being. A range of engaging activities followed on 10.09.2024, including the screening of an insightful 'Short Film' on #mentalhealth. An 'Awareness Quiz' was also conducted to encourage students to expand their knowledge of mental health issues, with exclusive badges awarded to participants. The day also featured a unique 'VR Campus Tour' in collaboration with the Gaming and Technology Association (GTA) Club under the Student Activity Centre (SAC), offering a fresh way to explore the campus. Another SAC Club, Euphony, presented 'Rock The Calm', a musical event. Following that a 'Mime Act' was performed by the Pantomime Club portraying the journey of emotional growth and resilience through the powerful art of mime. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this initiative.
