ADHERENCE TO PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS? In a nutshell, NDD is outdated and IDDSI will be the only professionally recognized texture modified diet framework as of Oct 2021.  It is not mandatory, but it is the only professionally- supported and evidence-based standard of practice

One of the US & Territories most FAQ is about IDDSI regulation. In the states, we are reviewed for meeting performance standards by an individual state's health agency, all (50 plus!) of which adhere to federal guidelines. Visit IDDSI.ORG under the American flag.
