Revolut is rapidly evolving from a fintech giant into a global banking powerhouse. With 70M global users and 15M crypto enthusiasts, their recent application for a U.S. national bank charter (March 2026) paves the way for FDIC-insured, real-time banking across all 50 states.

@Revolut This is a huge win for Revolut and a massive step for fintech adoption globally. pivoting from an e-money institution to a fully licensed bank. It’s also a significant signal for the broader ecosystem seeing assets like $RIZE already accessible in there.

We’re now officially a fully licensed bank in the UK. As a bank, we’ll soon offer accounts protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £120,000 per person on eligible deposits. It also means we’ll be able to launch more banking features in the future — so keep an eye out for updates.
