What separates us Messi fans from Ronaldo fans is that you’ll hardly ever see a Messi fan complain that today’s defeat happened because Paredes, De Paul or someone else refused to pass to Messi. We don’t go hunting for scapegoats whenever Messi doesn’t play well or Argentina lose. We understand that football is a collective effort and that no single player should shoulder all the blame for a team defeat. It’s a concept Ronaldo fans are incapable of grasping.
