@iFixit Most daunting repair: hot laptop last summer. Cleaned CPU & GPU and put on PTM7950. Learned it's good to put a clean cut right on the chip edge so starting to peel film up there doesn't pull on overhang & tear the pad (bottom). Now it's cooler.😎 Next: new battery for tablet.

@iFixit got a “dead” laptop everyone wrote off as ewaste, was told if i fix it i can keep it. multiple techs had already given up. dug into it, traced the fault to a single shorted capacitor, swapped it, hit power and it came back to life. easily one of the most satisfying fixes i’ve had

@iFixit I bought a Nintendo GameCube about 10 years ago to replace one that had been stolen. I recently tried to use it for the first time in a few years and it will no longer read discs. Hoping I can bring it back to life.
