@Stiff Passed a big crash on Kehä 1 about an hour ago. Six or seven cars stopped with one car in each of the crash barriers. Then 5mins later watched a cyclist slide and fall while turning on a bike path. Helsinki is one big ice rink right now.

So the worst thing has happened weather wise here. Fresh snow and quite warm air to make it super wet, combined with a sudden drop in temperature, meaning lethal sheet ice everywhere. Stay safe people.

@gs_mick The Finnish have something like that called Lihapiirakka. It's a terrible disappointment of rice and minced beef enclosed fried dough shell.

I have heard people say/write that Finland is a country of 4 seasons. Always found that confusing, but after relearning the Finnish seasons It made sense: Spr Summer Atmn W I N T E R R R R R R

Dear Twitterverse, please help settle a dispute (all in good spirits): Person 1 (P1) and Person 2 (P2) have a 2.5 year old. P1 devises a game when alone with her that involves throwing stones into a shallow dirty river from a bridge with no railing.

@bethe1ina I dunno about the bridge, but I'd take a photo of the poor doll. Which of the two was it?

P.s. Said child is fine (3 changes of bath water later). P2 now has multiple loads of laundry to do and the doll that also had a dip may never be the same again. If requested, a photo of the bridge and river can be provided.

The loneliness of having a newborn: He’s been awake since 5am; 1.5 hrs later and everyone else in the house is still asleep.

@bethe1ina Morning! The benefit of having a brother two timezones ahead of you though, is that I might be awake to talk to. And as an added bonus, not actually with you, so you don't have to put up with me!

I guess at 7 months I can’t really call him a newborn and I can complain now he’s stopped feeding at night but still, my time is not my own.
