Everyone is forced to be in Lagos. And I mean “deliberately” forced to be in Lagos to serve capitalism. You probably don’t know this because you don’t understand how the capitalist economy of Nigeria is set up to work. When you extract the value of the whole country and concentrate it in one location, it serves the capitalists, as people will be forced by lack of activities to leave their original location (where they live rent free and grow their own food) to Lagos where they will have no choice than slave for capitalism just to afford to pay for the same rent and food they had for free. Capitalism needs people who are desperate to eat and pay rent to survive. It was not by accident that every headquarters and every key infrastructure and public service was concentrated in Lagos. It was deliberate. It’s also not by accident that insecurity is trafficked everywhere else before it get to Lagos. It is deliberate. It’s very important you educate yourself on how systems work, to avoid embarrassing yourself by asking people if they are forced to be in Lagos. Of course, they are forced to be in Lagos.

Nigeria Police operatives have arrested three suspected armed røbbers yesterday, in Asaba, Delta State. The suspects were arrested by operatives attached to DOPS 001 along Toskana Hotel Road, Asaba, on June 12, 2026, while in possession of a pistol. According to the report, the three young men were inside a commercial tricycle (keke), with another individual riding it, and were allegedly robbing pedestrians of their phones along the road. They reportedly attempted to escape when they sighted a police patrol van, but were chased and apprehended by the operatives.

I don’t think Igbo people understand what social media did for them. Social media, especially Twitter, gave Igbo people the voice they never had in the mainstream media. Yoruba people used their media preponderance for years to sell the nonsense that Ojukwu started the war and Gowon was the saviour. It went on for decades without challenge. The same evil propaganda was used in saying that ‘Igbos too like money’ when, in fact, every billion that has ever been stolen from the Nigerian federal government has been stolen by Fulani and Yoruba people. A lot was done to our people. I remember when Igbo people tried to have their own media — ‘Minaj Television’ — which operated out of Obosi in Anambra State. The Nigerian government rushed and shut down Minaj Television because it had started telling the Igbo story. Once the story of Ndi Igbo was no longer being told from Lagos, it became a problem for the Nigerian government. You haven’t asked yourself why no so-called rich Igbo man can invest in media — not newspapers, but television that operates directly from Enugu, Anambra, or Imo State. Social media has given Ndi Igbo the voice they never had. Think about how many times the Nigerian army has posted fake photos and told stories that never happened. Think about how many times we debunked their lies. Now imagine all you’ve been told that happened in the past when we didn’t know anything that was going on, when we had no voice to counter their monstrous lies. Because Igbo people are the ones making good use of the voice that social media gave us, that’s why the Nigerian government under Buhari rushed and shut down Twitter, and also why they rushed and passed the cyberbullying laws just to criminalize the voice of Igbo people in Nigeria. That is also the reason they tagged Peter Obi a ‘social media candidate’ in the 2023 presidential election. But the result of that election sent shockwaves down their spines. That’s why you don’t hear them calling Peter Obi a ‘social media candidate’ anymore. They’re taking him more seriously than Atiku Abubakar. Ya Gazie!
