The Office of the Ombudsman is supposed to be the "Protector of the People." But according to Ramil Madriaga, it’s looking more like a drive-thru for bags of cash. His supplemental affidavit that he read during the impeachment hearing yesterday is absolutely filthy. Madriaga alleges he delivered massive sums of money to former Ombudsman Samuel Martires and Atty Ryan Rey Quilala. The orders? Direct from PRRD and Sara Duterte. The "modus" sounds like a low-budget heist movie: They’d take bags of cash from the DepEd Central Office, drive to the OMB compound, and follow the signals from the security guard. Then, they’d park, leave the keys on top of the left front wheel, and just walk away. 🤡 Why would the anti-corruption officials agree to a delivery THAT sketchy? Unless, of course, it was routine. It gets worse: Madriaga claims he personally delivered ₱15 million directly to Atty. Ryan’s office inside the building. 💸 And surprise, surprise! Atty. Ryan is a former professor of Sara Duterte! The one who used his influence so she could pass her law subjects. Madriaga has the dates (Dec 20, 2022), the vehicles (Blue FJ Cruiser and Red Mazda), and the trail from Pasig to Cainta. If these were true, Martires and Quilala turned the Office of the Ombudsman into a laundromat for the Dutertes. How can we trust this Office if they receive cash like how we receive our Shopee deliveries? To the OMB Security: Signal-signal pa kayo sa parking ha? Isa sa mga tinutulan ni VP Sara ay ang umano’y pahayag na kinailangan pa niyang humingi ng tulong upang makapagtapos ng abogasya: “Of all the lies thrown during the Committee on Justice ‘mini trial’ on April 14, the one I personally take issue with is the claim… that I needed someone to help me get through law school.” “I completed my studies on my own terms.” “I never asked any professor for special accommodation for my grades because the bare minimum was easy enough to meet.” Dagdag pa niya, nakapasa siya sa Bar Exam sa unang pagkakataon: “I passed the Bar on my first attempt with a GWA of 80, five points above the minimum.” BANAT KAY MADRIAGA AT SA KAMARA Hindi rin pinalampas ni VP Sara ang testigong si Ramil Madriaga at ilang miyembro ng Kamara: “Madriaga and his cohorts in the House of Representatives do not come close to my capacity to achieve results with very little effort because they cannot even weave a believable lie, much less follow the rule of law.” Sa kabuuan, binatikos ng Bise Presidente ang proseso ng pagdinig: “This mini-trial in the Committee on Justice is true to form for some of its members: abuse and corruption appear to be the only things they are capable of. Let us remember that the first impeachment case itself was marred by allegations of bribery involving members of the HOR, and this second impeachment is no better.” Inugnay rin niya ito sa mas malawak na usapin ng pamamahala at paggamit ng pondo ng gobyerno: “The failure of the administration to provide relief in this price crisis is not due to a lack of resources, but because public funds are being used for political maneuvering to avoid accountability for the most corrupt budget in our country's history.”
