A Dutch consumer foundation has sued Netflix for between 420 and 673 million € over subscription price hikes.
The group claims that increases of up to 75% since 2017 were implemented without sufficient transparency or clear justification, violating EU consumer laws and affecting millions of subscribers.
The comes after Netflix lost a similar case in Italy last month, where a court invalidated all price rises from 2017 to 2024 and mandated refunds of up to 500 € per customer.
lawsuits like this are also advancing in Germany.
