Superb visit to @DOMAINESKOURAS in the southern tip of PDO Nemea, Greece. A great line up of local varieties and mega winemaking skills. There’s so much variety to explore in Greek wine - I’m hooked!

@burnvalleywines Interesting. Have you used it for all of you PN and Chardonnay? Or as a comparison against hand harvesting? And is this for sparkling?

For the first time ever in Norfolk a mechanical harvester has been used, and it was a thrill to watch it shaking those Chardonnay and Pinot grapes here at Burn Valley yesterday. Stay tuned to the local press to find out more about this groundbreaking day. #weveseenthefuture

No, not Xfm- but this wine rocks! 😆 Indigenous Greek variety Moschofilero suits any number of styles - fizz, rosé, white - and orange. From master of the variety @Tseleposwines, this should rightfully be flying off the shelves of every East London natural wine bar. #naturalwine

@DouglasBlyde Had a fine unfiltered, organic Provence rosé in box from Bobo Wines recently. Small range but worth checking out. Recommended.

@DouglasBlyde Absolutely! Sure they could squeeze one in there among that frankly uninspiring line up of same old Champagne.

So, back home late afternoon after 2 vineyard tours in 30 degree heat ‘Shall we go to a wine fair?’ ‘Yep.’ So glad we did. Got a taste of this super ltd Bordeaux from #chateaujulia in Pauillac, from Benedict Butterworth, having just read about it @noblerotmag #clapton #claret

@AnneCBurchett Got people talking about it though. I’d not have seen it otherwise. So, job done in advertising terms (even if I think it’s a rubbish ad; is it missing an apostrophe?) Prosecco has to be min 85% Glera so can include other local varieties, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay.

Is it me or is this ad really weird? How can a drink be ‘as tasty as Harrods’? And Prosecco is only ever made from glera, isn’t it?

Left London 6.30am. Tasting wine by 4pm. Not bad! Return after 10 yrs to Dme de Bellivière in Coteaux-du-Loir (confusingly not on the #Loire but the Loir!) Super-expressive, age worthy #biodynamic wines made in new gravity-fed winery, from #CheninBlanc and local Pineau d'Aunis.

Another awesome performance from Hull soon-to-be-legends @smellybdrmm at @roughtrade tonight. New material sounding superb!

Just unearthed a copy of Spiral Scratch from 1988 while looking for my Smiths LPs. With a handy guide to every live performance 1982-86. Sure that will come in handy at some point. Good job I kept it. 🤔
