1) don't be a rapist monster and this movie isn't about you. that simple.
2) if you think taking away someone's autonomy and forcing yourself on them is fine, yes you deserve to be miserable and alone at the very least.
3) you know nothing of the female gaze. sooo many women would be attracted to someone who looks like Bear. in fact, in the movie there is another woman who has a huge crush on him. that's kinda the point. what women aren't attracted to is rapists or bitter little incel manchildren.

Obsession was extremely popular because it fufills the female notion that every lonely mid guy is secretly a rapist monster and deserves to be miserable and alone. It would have been a nothing movie if the genders were swapped. Conversely if the rapist monster had been 6'3, extremely attractive, and a millionare, it would have also been a wild hit with women.

That phone call in #Obsession is one of the most unsettling scenes in the movie. Bear is panicking, trying to alter his wish… meanwhile the voice on the line (voiced by Curry Barker) sounds like standard customer support, like he’s handling a refund request instead of a life ruined by supernatural consequences. #BearandNikki #horror #thriller

Barker did say he had Inde Navarrette do two different takes, one where Nikki is interested in Bear & one which she isn't & mixed the two takes to make her feelings purposefully vague because whether or not she was, the choice inevitably gets stripped away from her

It’s easy to overlook and just assume they were for him to get sleep but you gotta question why freaky Nikki was so heavily sleep that real Nikki was able to notice him leaving without waking her up.
