@ihrtfilia that shit is if boiled chicken was a game bland story, shallow and repetitive button masher combat, shit quest design, shit lore and shit writing. only thing it has going for it is visuals and the soundtrack. lets not act like its a good game.

ffx is objectively the best final fantasy ever. memorable story, great party, and a gameplay system that works really well for those who love turn based and are new to it.

I disagree a lot with most of those points. The story is honestly very meh. The plot twist of "Yuna has to die" is evident from the start, the whole "Tidus is already dead" is also telegraphed over and over. The only reason people didn't catch on, was because they played it as kids. The rest of the story comes down to: walk down this corridor to the next temple, fight a mini battle against Sin, rinse and repeat until the final battle. Congrats now Tidus can die for good. The end. Most of what happens in between the beginning and the end has basically no bearing on anything that happens at the end. Great party? Disagree as well. Tidus, Auron and Lulu are really the only interesting characters to play as. Yuna is one of the most boring White Mage/Summoner characters they've made. Especially following Garnet form FFIX who was the same archetype, but could do so much more. Khimari is boring as fuck, so is Rikki (who at least has some story relevance by ring Al Bhed) and Wakka is only useful if you have flying enemies. The combat system is indeed pretty good, but it's not necessarily any better than most other games in the series. But I do like the ability to swap between the entire party during combat. The world of is also incredibly linear, but somehow that criticism is only levied at 13, which at least had a true open world section at one point. There are also no real memorable cities or towns in FFX, like you had in 6, 7, 9, 12, 13, 15 and even 16. The level up system of the Sphere-grids is in my opinion one of the worst designs ever made, that made things just incredibly boring (it's also my least favourite part of 12, which had the same philosophy). FFX also has some of the fewest mini games, with Blitzball being incredibly divisive (Very cool concept, terrible execution). And the rest is what? Terrible Chocobo racing? Dodging lightning for hours to try and get rewards? FFX is overly glazed, because it was the first FF game most people online now played, but while successful, it is definitely not the best one by any stretch of the imagination.
