When no one comes forward, she does.
Pushpalata Singh teaches science by day, shaping young minds in Gorakhpur.
But her work doesn’t end in the classroom. Three years ago, she saw an elderly man lying alone on the street. She helped him, and when he passed away, she performed his last rites.
That moment stayed with her and sparked a mission that would change hundreds of lives.
Today, she performs the last rites for unclaimed bodies every day. She washes and adorns them, carries them to the crematorium on the banks of the Rapti River, lights the pyre herself, and ensures every ritual is followed, respecting every faith.
Sometimes she performs rites for four or five bodies in a single day. She even keeps the ashes to immerse in the Ganges, giving each soul peace.
The community calls her Amma. For the forgotten, she is dignity, devotion, and love.

Here’s how Prashant Suresh Bhojane, who checked copies of aspirants during the day and studied at night, cleared the UPSC CSE 2023 on his ninth attempt.
Prashant hails from Thane, Maharashtra and secured All India Rank 849 in the UPSC exam, after battling financial hardships and lack of support.
Coming from a humble background, Prashant's mother works as a sweeper in the civic body in Maharashtra's Thane, while his father is a Class IV employee in the same civic body.
An engineering graduate, Prashant always aspired to become an IAS officer and alleviate his parents' struggles.
However, due to financial constraints, he had to take up part-time jobs, like checking mock exam copies, to ease their burdens.
His relentless dedication paid off when he finally achieved success on his ninth attempt.

Our milkman has been coming to our house for 25+ years now. Delivers milk to 30+ homes, but only stops at ours.
He comes upstairs, has chai with my father, eats a little breakfast, talks about politics, or just life. Then he leaves same smile, same routine, every day.
In a world that’s moving so fast, it’s these small, unshakable rituals that remind me what connection really means.

93.1 vs 47.9 — Is this what "equality" looks like in modern India?
Welcome to JEE 2025, where your caste decides your future more than your hard work.
If you're a General category student, you're expected to score 93.1 marks.
But if you belong to the ST category, you're eligible with just 47.9 marks.
Same exam. Same syllabus. Same competition.
But different cutoffs. Different rules. Different realities.
How is it fair that a student scoring almost half of what a general category student scores gets the same seat, the same college, the same branch?
This isn’t social justice — this is systematic discrimination.
Lakhs of deserving students are being punished every year for the "crime" of being born in a so-called forward caste.
No matter how talented or hardworking they are, the system is rigged against us.
Stop using caste as a tool for vote-bank politics.
End this 75-year-old injustice.
We need economic-based reservations, not caste-based favoritism.
Speak up. It's time to fight for real equality.
