Hormuz cut the nitrogen fertilizer supply by choking LNG and natural gas. Now China is halting sulfuric acid exports from May. 50% of sulfuric acid goes to phosphate fertilizer. @duediligenceguy Let's be real, silicon waffers with atomic layers of gallium and indium on it isn't the mainstream way to transfer energy or data. It will be a extremely small segment of the copper consumption. Thats like saying cotton is dead because Nasa space suits insulate better.

Interesting... but no. This is just one use case. Even if it all went away (which would take many years, if it happens at all), even these same data centers would still need a lot of copper for their power systems. And that's not to mention Dr. Copper's many other uses.

A SUIVRE... Le S&P 500 a déclenché aujourd’hui un événement technique rare, en franchissant simultanément ses moyennes mobiles à 50 et 200 jours. Cela m’a semblé étrange, j’ai donc mené mon enquête. Depuis 1950, ce signal spécifique ne s'est produit que quatre fois. À chaque fois, l'indice a connu des replis importants peu après. La baisse moyenne sur trois mois suivant ce signal est de -9,51 %, la pire baisse sur trois mois ayant atteint -12,92 % en 2018. Historiquement, il s'est toujours agi d'un gap d'épuisement plutôt que d'un rebond durable.

The S&P 500 triggered a rare technical event today, gapping above both its 50D and 200D moving averages simultaneously. This looked weird to me, so I did some digging. Since 1950, this specific signal has occurred only four times. In every instance, the index faced significant pullbacks shortly after. The average three month drawdown following the signal is -9.51%, with the worst three month drawdown reaching -12.92% during 2018. Historically this has always been an exhaustion gap rather than a sustainable rally. Maybe this time is different.
