I had the pleasure of having a farewell Zoom with MP Magdalena Schröder - one of the youngest members of the Swedish Parliament and also one of the most talented and promising. I thank you, dear Magdalena, for your friendship to and hope to meet you soon in Israel!

Nice farewell meeting with our friends from Keren Hayesod Sweden/United Israel Appeal - Chairman Andrew Petsonk, Executive Director Ulf Cahn and former Chairman Michael Cohn. I thanked them warmly for their commitment and service to the State of Israel.

I was surprised and honoured, in a time of major political developments, that the Speaker of the Riksdag @andreasostgote took the time for a most pleasant and interesting farewell conversation.

It was an honour to get to know you, @AnnikaBorg1 - and I thank you for your friendship on behalf of all Israelis! Annika always stood with Israel even at times when this was difficult, unpopular and sometimes risky and very costly.

Wonderful farewell luncheon together with my dear friends MPs @Ladaktusson and @MikaelOscarsson. One cannot find words strong enough to describe the tremendous work in support of Israel carried out by Lars and Mikael over the course of many years

It is not easy to say goodbye to friends. @Moderaterna, the Conservative Members of Parliament, with which we have a longstanding and excellent dialogue, are good friends of Israel and I hope to be able to host them in Israel as soon as possible.

The assumption of Foreign Minister @AnnLinde - as mentioned in her article - that the roots of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is the so-called occupation is mistaken. The root is the continuous refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish State and the wish to wipe it off the map.

Excellent farewell meeting with the leadership of the Conservative Youthe, @mufswe, including Chairwoman @MatildaEkeblad. This group of young, talented, dynamic future leaders are true friends of 🇮🇱 & we cherish their friendship very much.

2/2 The highly prestigious @WolfPrize_ is awarded in memory of German-born inventor Ricardo Wolf. Prof Charpentier, who in the meantime also received the @NobelPrize, was awarded the prize last year but due to the Corona pandemic the formal ceremony could take place only now.

1/2 Honored to host in my residence a small gathering of eminent representatives of science. The occasion was the awarding of the Israeli @WolfPrize_ to brilliant French microbiologist, geneticist & biochemist Prof. Emanuelle Charpentier – who is conducting research in 🇸🇪.

Another interesting meeting with a dedicated and long-time friend of Israel, former MEP of @moderaterna, @ghokmark. Thank you for your friendship and, above all, your good advice.

A lovely summer day in Uppsala! Uppsala, just north of Stockholm, is home to Sweden's oldest university @UU_University founded in 1477.

Mazal Tov! Congratulations to our new President, Isaac Herzog, who was elected today to be the 11th President of Israel. President-elect Herzog will succeed President Rivlin, who is concluding his term after 7 years in office.

Yesterday, we hosted a webinar on agricultural technology, attended by leading experts & orgs from 🇮🇱 and 🇸🇪, such as the Chief Scientist of 🇮🇱 Ministry of Agriculture & senior experts from @LRFSverige, @RISEsweden & academia. 🇮🇱 startups presented their innovative technologies.
