I generally just quietly despair if I find something in a database that is incorrectly labelled, but is there a process in place for reporting wrongly labelled sequences to @NCBI?

Anyone know how to convert either an .asn or .gb file to the .tbl file needed to upload to BankIt for annotations? @NCBI #Bioinformatics I have 85 submissions & I do not want to manually create the damn .tbl file since I already have a .gb file. Ridiculous it can't accept the .gb

@AlexKneubehl @asm_tmc @NCBI Whenever I was doing my HIV models I did them by hand. They’re not that difficult. Annoying though. It would be nice if there was something to quickly convert between them. If you find something let me know :-)

Question for @NCBI (and microbial #genomics and #bioinformatics folks) RefSeq's docs states "untrustworthy as type" as a reason for rejection from RefSeq. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/assembly/help/… So... what is the "criteria for type strain assembly for use in ANI analysis"? #curious #cantfindit
