Then the other camp who says it's overpriced garbage. There is no consensus. I just sold a Roman Anthony chrome refractor for $90+ out of a box

@GripCards @CardPurchaser Two item limits are deal breakers for collectors like me. I’ll wipe you out if I like the product. And product I like usually isn’t the most sought after (flagship Topps/archives/hetitage etc.) when ppl like me don’t wipe it out or put dents in it it won’t move.

@GripCards @CardPurchaser Big sign that says limit 2 units per item. Clowns can't come in and scoop up dozens of fat packs or hangers. This is a Target W actually and should be an appreciation post for all those times you go and see empty shelves due to breakers and resellers.

We’re going to see a lot of height changes this year because, with the rollout of ABS, MLB is now measuring each player's height down to the millimeter. The process is super strict — no shoes, no hats, knees exposed, back against the wall — and to account for potential shrinkage throughout the day, MLB is even requiring all its teams to take measurements between 10 am and 12 pm local time on their appointed day.

The only issue I have with a “Hall of Very Good” is that basically everyone we vote on would get in. You’re not going to argue that a player with 50.0 bWAR wasn’t “very good,” so the bar becomes meaningless. That’s why the Hall of Pretty Good works. We set a cap at 38.6 bWAR, right around the Harold Baines line. By narrowing the field and sticking to “pretty good,” we’ve actually created real debate. So far, 20 players haven’t gotten in, which makes the voting much more interesting and competitive. The Hall of Very Good is a cool concept, but I don’t think it would translate nearly as well in execution, especially on social media with public polls. At the end of the day though it’s just fun to give the guys their time to shine, even if they won’t be in Cooperstown.

There needs to be a level between the Hall of Fame and the Hall of Pretty Good. Cubs of the last 15 years have had a TON of those guys.

Hold on. Are we actually doing this storyline? Team USA bonding in the clubhouse until 12:30 AM is now “part of the reason they lost?” The game was the next day at 9 PM. We’re acting like they were out clubbing instead of… you know… being teammates? In a world where most people barely look up from their phones, the idea that players talking face-to-face til 12:30 is somehow a “problem”, is a narrative I have to vehemently disagree with and it’s just not the storyline anyone should be buying into.

Not only should Raleigh, Harper, Turang and Buxton have been in this lineup, but once the score was 3-0, DeRosa needed to manage the bullpen like the 7th game of the World Series. Team USA finally put together a representative roster, but for some reason they are being managed by someone with no experience.
