SANGWON — ALLURE KOREA Full Interview Translation ❤️ Q: How have you been since your debut? Do you still vividly remember your first stage? 🥀: Very vividly. Especially our first performance at the 2025 MAMA Awards. I remember my whole body shaking from nerves. It was the moment Alpha Drive One was officially introduced to the world, and because it was such a huge stage, I was worried too. At that time I had blond hair, and I had never shown fans that look before, so i was worried it might feel too shocking. Q: Time passed, you got used to it, and you continued to perform on big stages? 🥀: I adapted a bit. At first, even backstage I'd think, 'Wow, how is everyone so composed when it's this chaotic?' and tell myself 'get it together.' But now I've gotten used to that. I can now quickly grab what I need backstage (laughs), and compared to the beginning, I've become able to enjoy the stage more naturally. Q: After debuting, your life became completely different from your trainee days. What felt the newest to you? 🥀: It felt like I gained a home. I gained fans, and staff members who support us. I realized that it's not just the members who are my team, everyone working with us is part of the team. That's when I truly felt, “I've debuted, and now I have a team.” Being able to communicate and connect with fans is another thing that changed. Q: You mean the existence of “ALLYZ,” right? 🥀: Exactly. I'm so grateful that they were given such a beautiful name with a wonderful meaning. I thought, “I'm going to be able to call them by this lovely name for a long time.” Q: This time you're coming back with the song 'OMG.' Have you ever had a moment recently where the exclamation 'OMG' came to mind? 🥀: Looking at our 7–8 month schedule (laughs). Recently I covered ‘Beautiful 'and I was proud because I felt it turned out well. Q: Haha. When the schedule was really packed, there's a lyric in 'OMG' that goes 'going round and round, Seven Days a Week.' If you had one more day, what would you want to do? 🥀: I'd want to go on a spontaneous trip. Or maybe a workout day? I want to build up my stamina, so I do cardio often. Running is also one of my hobbies. Q: Is there a new side of yourself you've discovered after debut? 🥀: I've become more considerate. I've always thought being considerate toward others is important and wanted to practice it, but after debuting, I want even more to never forget to think about my fellow members and the people I work with. I don't want to lose that mindset. Q: What are some ways Sangwon shows consideration for other members? 🥀: I think small acts of consideration matter. For example, when I get in the car and want to recline my seat, if someone's sitting behind me I always ask first. “I'm going to move my seat back a bit. would that be okay?” Sometimes I can tell the members appreciate things like that. Q: The team was born through a survival show. What is the secret to ALD1's teamwork? 🥀: No one here is a bad person. Everyone is kind and sincere. Of course, when schedules get busy, there are moments when people become sensitive. But because everyone is genuinely kind, things naturally get better again. I think that's why we've been able to keep moving forward without major conflicts, and I believe it will stay that way. Q: What role do you play within the team? 🥀: I'm always comfortable and fun when I'm with the members, but among them I tend to be on the calmer side. When I’m with Arno hyung, we’re especially quiet. Runo (Arno) is also incredibly quiet so when we're together I think 'can I be quiet too?' (laughs). Still, I like making dad jokes and joking around. I enjoy it even when nobody reacts. Q: You're also busy preparing for the fan concert. What are you working on? 🥀: The setlist is being finalized and we're rehearsing. There are two stages we'll be showing for the first time, so I'm excited and curious about how everyone will react. Q: As a member of ALD1, and as Sangwon himself, what is your goal? 🥀: Professionally, I always think we need to do well. But my one true goal is for our music, performances, and each member's unique charms to shine in many places as possible. I really hope many people continue to discover and love us. Becoming a team that keeps growing steadily is my biggest goal. Q: Where do you get that drive from? 🥀: From our fans who support everything we do! Q: During BOYS II PLANET, people talked about how you read books even in busy and hectic situations. Are you still reading? 🥀: I haven't been reading much lately. But I still always carry a book in my bag. Q: You have a deep connection with LEO, who debuted together with you. Thinking back to when you first met, how do you feel he's changed? 🥀: I say this everywhere: “Leo hyung brought me out,” and “I debuted thanks to Leo hyung.” When I quietly watch Leo hyung, all those memories pass through my mind. I think, “How amazing. In the end, the two of us became part of the same team.” He's become much more polished as a person. Softer and gentler. (laughs) Recently it was my birthday, and he told me to pick a present, but I didn't choose one. Still, when it's his birthday, I definitely want to make sure I get him a gift. Q: Your first birthday spent with the members! It must have been very special. 🥀: I spent it performing at KCON. All the fans held up 'Happy Birthday' on their phones. I was really moved. Being celebrated on stage, everyone clapping for me. Q: After meeting you, I think you'd make a great late-night radio DJ — reading listener messages and saying 'ah, you have this kind of worry.' 🥀: I really love radio! It's actually one of the things I'd like to do someday. I think it's a medium where I can express myself calmly and also share people's worries and thoughts together. I feel like it could bring comfort both to listeners and to me. Q:What three things are necessary for Sangwon's ideal daily life? 🥀: ALLYZ, good music, good people. I never want to lose my sense of romance. My favorite words are love and romance. I'm the kind of person who can't live without romance, and I think I always will be. ❤️
