The Galaxy S25U takes much superior pictures in good light compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, but in low light, it's the opposite. All pictures are unusable because of noise and low details.

@achultra Also side note: half of the time the 50mp and 200mp modes are a lie in sub-optimal lighting, they just end up upscaling the 12mp output. Only way to force 200mp on is to disable adaptive pixel in camera assistant.

@achultra Unfortunately this just isn't true. Going from S23U to S24U yeah the high res modes are a bit more usable, but it's clear that they lack lots of the post processing 12mp has. Unsure about S25U but I heavily doubt it's that much better.

One thing Samsung really enhanced in photography is image quality in 50MP and 200MP modes. There is no need to shoot pics in 12MP because the high-res modes can take better pics with better HDR, highlight control, noise reduction, and so much more detail. We must force Samsung to set 50MP as the default resolution in auto mode. Pic 1 & 3: 12MP Pic 2 & 4: 50MP
