As part of the Consortium Meeting, we were able to make an underground visit to KGHM CUPRUM sp. z o.o. - Centrum Badawczo-Rozwojowe. It was exciting to see what the processes are like on site and what methods our partners are using to shape the future of mining.

The 7th Consortium Meeting in frozy Wrocław got off to a successful start. Thanks to KGHM CUPRUM sp. z o.o. - Centrum Badawczo-Rozwojowe for the organization of the Meeting.

Philipp Hartlieb from our project partner Montanuniversität Leoben was invited to a podium discussion organized by the ROBOMINERSproject In course of the #RawMaterialsWeek2023 in Brussels.

Our researcher Alberto Fernandezández participated at the #WorldConference on #Explosives and #Blasting in Dublin. He presented "Advances on rock structural recognition from drill monitoring in underground mining using discontinuity index and machine learning techniques"

We present the course "Application of Drilling Monitoring Technologies for Mining using Artificial Intelligence", taught by Professor Alberto Fernandez. The course will be held on Tuesday, October 10 from 09:00 to 18:00 hrs. in Cruz del Sur 77, steps from Metro Escuela Militar

At the 12th Iberian Grid Conference (IBERGRID 2023), our project partner PSNC gave a presentation about the "Development of the EDGE-CLOUD solutions across domain" The conference provided a good forum of experts to discuss different approaches towards EDGE deployments.

Participating in #RawMat2023 Athens was a remarkable experience for our illuMINEation project team. We sincerely thank the conference organizers for providing us with this invaluable platform. Engaging with engineers from across the globe was truly enlightening.

As part of illuMINEation, equipment manufacturer @epirocgroup together with sensing company @Retenua are evaluating a novel approach to human detection, involving a smart infrared camera that recognizes patterns of reflective stripes on high-visibility clothing.
