I think it's time for some real talk about shiny backgrounds in Pokemon GO. Aside from showing your friends or posting online or whoever traded you one - NO ONE will know that you have a certain one as you can't see the background from the trainer page. Sure you can name it CHICAGO or Jeju Island or whatever but still - can't see it. So that leads me to this photo below. Its okay not to buy into the FOMO. I want to meet the person that has $2,500 to drop on one as 1 sold already 😲 Yes backgrounds are great and a fun addition but it is IMPOSSIBLE to collect them all - especially with the rate they are releasing them. I love Pokemon GO and love the memories I've made along the way. However I will die on the hill saying that Pokemon GO is NOT a forever game. So that 2,500$ shiny Copenhangen Ponyta can't be resold/retraded/transfered to HOME ect, it will disappear when the servers get shut down. This obviously won't happen anytime soon but it will. Everything runs its course. I'm not trying to shame those that DO buy shinies or backgrounds or whatever, but just think a bit before you click "BUY", because that is A LOT of money (at least for me 😅)
