RIP Tom Kane This is just devastating news. He was just at a convention reunited with the Powerpuff Girls. He looked so happy and genuinely pleased at the love. 'Spreading his wings' philosophy is bullshit. This is something lazy parents do to get rid of their kids. Parents should get that children are a lifelong commitment and investment, not something to be disregarded after 18 years. When I was a teenager, I had a friend whose parents did this to him after college freshman year. Communication and all financial aid were cut off, saying that "it was for his own good." 2 years later, the most hardworking and brilliant person I knew, is working as a delivery guy just to make ends meet. The whole discourse about that scene apparently being "ableist" because people headcanon Marcy as autistic was incredibly dumbfoundingly stupid and proof these people didn't watch the show.

I don't know how unpopular of an opinion this would be (or qualify as) but the absolute worst take I've seen on this character is people claiming Marcy getting the Core painfully downloaded into her in Olivia & Yunan the "equivalent" of an autistic kid getting the electric chair.
