This is pretty telling. LeBron's career is a perfect example of how people use status when it suits them and ignore performance. He had some names but how did they actually play? People will give Curry credit for winning in 2022 with A.Wiggins because they use status to say Wiggins wasn't a very good player. An underwhelming 1.1 pick. They ignore he played very well vs. Boston, especially in the final games that won the series. But if you go back to LeBron, it's "he played with Chris Bosh" and they're back to using status. He's Chris Bosh. Doesn't matter that he basically just averaged 14 & 7 in the last 3 playoff runs or that he scored 0 points in 2013 G7. He's Chris Bosh, HOFer. People did this all the time with Manning vs. Brady too. "Brady won with Deion Branch and Troy Brown early, Julian Edelman later." Yeah? And they played amazing football for him in the playoffs in 2001-06, then Edelman was a beast including that fluke SB catch against Atlanta. But they ignore that catch and defer to Edelman's status as a converted QB and late-round pick. "Manning choked with Marvin Harrison." Oh, you mean the WR1 who caught 45% of his passes in the playoffs with a ton of drops and fumbles while Manning's numbers to everyone else were still Pro Bowl level? "But he's Marvin Harrison, HOFer." Status over performance again when it suits them. Don't let them bullshit you.

@pinglyadya The same thing that’s stopping them from just making pokemon made to order and stopping scalping as a whole in modern pokemon. They don’t care because either way they’re making the money they expect to make and more, so why would they care about what happens after they sell stuff
