Dear friends, I want to share something that has been heavy on my heart. A while back, I joined a local women’s soccer team in Miami just for fun and to stay active. However, after expressing my Christian beliefs in response to a team discussion, I was told that my values didn’t align with theirs and was removed from the team. This all started when someone in the group shared a message about supporting LGBTQ kids. While I respect everyone’s choices and love all people as Christ calls us to, I disliked the message because, as a Christian, I believe in living by biblical truth. I also feel strongly about protecting kids from ideologies that I believe can lead them down a harmful path. I was really looking forward to being part of this team, and it’s devastating to feel excluded for simply standing firm in my faith. But I want to say this: it’s not me they’re rejecting—it’s God’s truth. And as much as it hurts, I choose to respond in love and prayer for everyone involved. If there are any other all-girls pick-up soccer leagues or teams in Miami, please let me know—I’d love to join! Staying active and being in community are important to me, and I’m hopeful for new opportunities. Thank you all for your prayers and support. Let’s continue to stand strong in our faith and love others boldly, even when it’s hard.
