South Carolina friends - I still find myself going back and forth on Governor and Attorney General. I know I do not want Mace - other than that, give me your pitch for your choices.

If you want a Governor with a backbone and spine who fights for conservative values and stood strong with @realDonaldTrump from "Day One," I humbly ask for your vote. I'm criss-crossing our great state, earning every single vote. I'm working hard and taking nothing for granted.

I get that Trump can't primary every single incumbent Senator right now, because he needs them to enact his agenda. However, come 2028--the gloves are off. Murkowski, Crapo, Thune, Young, Paul, Grassley, Boozman, Hoeven, Scott, Moran, Lankford--TIME'S UP!

@KJVPopulist Craig is a nut job as well she made some disgusting remarks about Tulsi Gabbard resigning to care for her husband.

I feel like this is a seat the GOP should at least put some funding behind. This is a Harris+4, Clinton+2 state. Peggy Flanagan is a uniquely psychotic extremist to the likes that the US senate has perhaps never even seen before

Semafor: Rep. Angie Craig (D-MN) is dropping out of the DFL Convention endorsement process, which she was wildly expected to lose to Peggy Flanagan this weekend #MinnesotaSenate

Briscoe Cain put up a good fight and it’s disappointing that he came up short. With that said, congrats to Alex Mealer, whom I believe will be a great addition to congress, and I’m proud to give her my full endorsement, just as I did in 2022 for her Harris County Judge bid!

Very proud to be the Republican nominee for TX-09 and grateful for @realDonaldTrump, the local leaders, law enforcement and those who trusted me to deliver results for the hard working families of TX-09 by passing President Trump’s America First agenda: more jobs, safe streets and a secure border. We came to work and that doesn’t stop now. 🇺🇸

Now that the Senate voted to “Nonconcur” on the Sine Die Resolution it will go to Conference Committee. 3 House members and 3 Senators will meet to reach an agreement which will then have to be approved by both chambers. At this point the House MUST insist on their Redistricting amendment. If no agreement is met, then there will be no Special Session Resolution. At that point the Governor will have to call a special session. Then Redistricting can pass by a simple majority vote in the Senate. It should pass EASILY since the vote was just 29-17!

🚨South Carolina Redistricting is NOT dead even if Massey & cronies win this vote. Here’s the next play— If the senate blocks Redistricting Resolution it goes back to the SC House. The House can simply nonconcur to Senate changes and refuse to pass a Sine Die Resolution (the resolution that calls them back for a special session). This would allow the Governor to call a Special Session. At that special session, Redistricting can pass by a simply majority instead of a 2/3rds vote. You may say—but the Governor said he won’t call one! True. But likely his tune will change. And even if @henrymcmaster doesn’t, the state budget still hasn’t been passed… Hypothetically if the House doesn’t pass a final version of the budget by 5pm Thursday (adjournment/end of session), then the Governor MUST call them back for a Special Session. The best part—the Governor can’t limit what the Legislature takes up at a Special Session. Redistricting WILL be on the table. The question is do House Republicans have the fortitude to play hardball? Will they defend the Constitution?

The Mayes Middleton coalition is interesting to me as he’s basically united both the establishment moderate types (for not being a loud firebrand) and the MAGA types (because of Chip Roy’s prior feud with Trump). This in theory should be a recipe for a very easy runoff victory, and he’s undoubtedly favored, but will it actually be a blowout for him?

If Republicans are able to get a seat out of Alabama and South Carolina, and the Utah map gets overturned, they only need to win *2* competitive races, of which Lawler's seat and MI-10 (John James' old seat) are the easiest to hold. That gets them to 218.
