The only debates some Wahabis can win are those against Christians. They mainly rely on pointing out inconsistencies in the Bible. That approach doesn’t carry over the same way when engaging with Ash’aris or Maturidis. To my Ash’ari and Maturidi brothers: hold your heads high. You stand within a tradition rooted in the scholarship of those who preserved and transmitted this Deen directly from the Salaf. Yeah, true, but Catholics are the most paganized denomination of Christianity. Their beliefs in Saints and idol worship prove this. I'm one of the minority Christians that don't believe in the Trinity. So they say I'm not Christian either even though I believe Jesus Christ is my Messiah.

Legal Islamic texts mention marriage contracts to a minor in ancient societies but they also mention sex is prohibited until puberty. Puberty was deemed adulthood whatever age that may be. The Islamic law now raises the age of consent due to societal change (as any anthropologist will tell you). @TRobinsonNewEra has no arguments against Islam and clutching to straws.
