It's been a while since I posted something like this, but I know this situation is a valid reason to enter your giveaway, so I'm shooting my shot here.
The only reason why I deserve the money is because of my brother's situation. He needs immediate surgery because his condition is making it difficult for him to live normally every day.
He was diagnosed with a left maxillary cyst filled with fluid. Fortunately, it's benign, but it still requires immediate surgery because it's blocking his left nostril and pushing upward toward his left eye.
Last week, my mother and my brother went to the radiologist to have it scanned. They found out that the cause of the cyst was a tooth that had been lodged in his cheek since birth. The doctor also said that during the surgery, they will remove some soft tissue from the roof of his mouth, which may affect his ability to speak the way he used to.
The cyst first appeared three years ago, but we didn't have enough money to get him admitted for surgery. Now, it needs to be removed as soon as possible, or it may damage his left cheek and eye. His surgery is scheduled for the middle of July next month, and we're doing everything we can to raise enough money before then.
We are currently trying to seek help from the people we know and from our municipality to help cover some of the medical expenses. The surgery is expected to cost nearly half a million Philippine pesos (around $8,000–$10,000 USD).
