sometimes you realize you're starting to sound a bit too much like ogata golden kamuy in your head and all you can do is go "alright buddy that's enough thinking for today"

(though i'm still trying to articulate this bigger loop's connection to ampho's exploration of myth & how some other parts of ampho's story play into it but i'm lowkey tired of thinking about it so this thought will remain incomplete for the time being)

in that sense, the scepter is like a perpetual myth machine with cyrene at its core as the author, storyteller, audience, and participant—something that is quite neatly conveyed through amphoreus's causality loop

@twodayshidden i feel like a lot of it is said in the context of 0 cycles with specific setups + it also highly depends on the endgame stage buff (moc skill buff from phainon's release was the most insane for him iirc) & the enemy matchup. he's good for low cost 0 cycles in specific conditions

the version of the universe that will be born from fuli will never be able to evolve because everything in those memories will stay the same, untouched and pristine and perfectly predictable. there may be love & care in that but it's the way a lepidopterist loves their collection

the memories aren't real after all, nothing in those memories exists in the present anymore because everything is everchanging so fuli's vision is just a film that replays in an empty theater again and again with no audience to watch it and all actors long gone

i'm just now thinking about possible implications of fuli's plan. the memories they collect will be a basis for recreating the world after its imminent destruction but nobody said this world will be /alive/. it will be preserved just as it was but will remain forever stagnant
