@damagnificent0 @NieruD @Chocojamjam_ Then he can test it outside of battle! Why did he need to initiate the battle by using the black screen? We've seen before that others can use attacks outside of battle screens with Undyne; he could've just as easily done that! Showcase moves OUTSIDE of battle!

@damagnificent0 @reanmashup @NieruD @Chocojamjam_ We don't know Sans? He was the first face we meet outside of the Ruins, and we would've seen him all throughout the underground. I'm sure we would know of him. And not wanting to be injured in the slightest is still a valid response, yknow.

@damagnificent0 @NieruD @Chocojamjam_ Plus if they were so worried about fighting Sans in the first place, why would they agree to see their attack? If he's of no threat to them, then the only reasonable conclusion to their dodge the attack was a fight or flight response!

@damagnificent0 @NieruD @Chocojamjam_ It's reasonable to not want to get hurt in the slightest. Even if the attack itself is weak, are we invalidating their natural fight or flight response, or are we trying to say Sans is stronger than he appears? We have no proof of that here.

It's a baseball, no matter where you throw it from, if I'm going to throw it at you, you'd have to either prepare to catch it or dodge it in time. I could be behind you, but the ball is the only constant here, and it's being thrown at you.
