@Pmccrsp @imaraindancer The IIHF Hall of Fame is housed in the same building and they have the authority to collect, authenticate, and send them to the hall. It’s a different process with international hockey as the IIHF and IOC manage Olympic artifacts rather than just relaying on stuff to be donated.

It's ok to be upset and/or disappointed about not getting to keep a piece of your personal history and the highlight of your sports career thus far.
It's ok for a museum or Hall of Fame to not give up a huge piece of sports history.

@Pmccrsp Don't quote me on this, because I'm not 100% positive, but I thought an Olympics exhibit at the Hockey Hall of Fame was already going to be in the works.
I do wonder if it might end up traveling to those other Hall of Fames eventually.
