Same police man that asked me why my yansh was shaking even as I wore trousers, and he even had to touch my yansh also. There was a bit of hold-up a few years ago in 2023.
I had to hop on a bike when him and his squad stopped the bike. He asked me to come down. He, in particular, hit me with a gun and dragged the bike man down, and asked me to enter their shuttle bus. As I was approaching the shuttle bus, he hit me again with his gun and said why was my yansh shaking. I couldn’t say anything. He hit me again with the same gun and said I should thank God it’s daytime, if not he would have wasted me.
He said I must pay 50k. I asked for which crime. He said he will take me to the police station and they will deal with me if I don’t pay. I said okay, I prefer to go to the station. One boy in the bus said if I have money I should pay, if not they might rape me on the way. He asked another guy in mufti to follow me to a POS and withdraw, so I withdrew 50k and gave them.
I will attach how I was dressed that day. It wasn’t even indecent. I cried and cried and told him Earth will deal with him. Most of these police are brutal. He was so bold in telling me I should thank God it was in a day time if not… #endpolicebrutality

On 26 April 2026, in Effurun, Delta State, Mene Ogidi lost his life due to the unjustified use of force by a Police officer.
Officers responded to a report of a suspect apprehended at Benin Motor Park with a concealed Beretta pistol. While efforts were being made to take him into custody, Asp Nuhu Usman discharged his firearm. The circumstances surrounding the incident, as reflected in the circulating video and preliminary findings, indicate a clear violation of established regulations.
A man has lost his life, and a family is grieving. The Delta State Commissioner of Police has directed the Area Commander to bring ASP Usman and his team to Force Headquarters in Abuja. The Force Disciplinary Committee will review the case, followed by criminal prosecution. Accountability will be enforced without exception.
The Force leadership extends its deepest condolences to Mene Ogidi’s family and assures them that justice will be served fully without compromise.
To the people of Effurun and all Nigerians, your concerns are heard. The Force remains committed to ensuring that such actions are properly addressed and do not occur again.

The leadership of the Nigeria Police Force has directed the immediate transfer of the officer and his team to Force Headquarters, Abuja, where they would face the Force Disciplinary Committee for summary disciplinary measures and prosecution. The Inspector-General of Police extends his condolences to the family of the deceased and assures them that justice will be served in accordance with the law. He further urges members of the public to remain calm and law-abiding as the disciplinary and legal processes take their course. The Nigeria Police Force maintains a zero-tolerance stance on extra-judicial actions, abuse of authority, and any conduct that undermines public trust. In less than 2 years, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has constructed and rehabilitated almost 66km of roads, with another 34km ongoing and 90km of roads (5km from each LG) approved. However, many citizens from Ondo State still call him a failure.
Then there is a Governor who has done about 49.1km in almost 4 years, and must not be criticised. They will tell you that another 256km has been approved. I laugh at good governance.
Truly, the South Westerners demand much from their leaders, and it is very good. However, wisdom tells you to watch those who laugh when you criticise your own, but will fight dirty when you mention the faults of their own.
