I'm flabbergasted why anyone would resent Ross prioritizing F-1 and Miami Open over Super Bowls. (It's a smart business decision for him and doesn't affect any fan's life in a bad way.) If you want to be upset with him, blame him for not getting assurances from Flo that he was OK prioritizing development over winning, and sticking with Grier 4 years too long. But this? Not sure why anyone would care.

What fuels anger by any fan base is very simple: Fans are conditioned to think that players' talents are determined by the order given them by 5 to 10 national draftniks. If your team rates a player much higher than a national draftnik did, you're conditioned to think it's a bad pick. Not all of you, but many of you. This has always been the case.

Cleveland had the alternate universe Dolphins draft with Concepcion, Denzel Boston, McNeil-Warren, Taylen Green... I'm hopeful on Miami's group. Needs were filled with players with appealing traits.. With the fraction of seething Fins fans I'm seeing, I never know how reflective that is of the general fan base. Perhaps just a small angry minority. It's really impossible to know.
