this is actually not far off from the number i predicted for DQs based on other events entered!
For an event this size approx 30-40% DQ is really not that crazy overall for R2, but anyone who didn't show up to play in a turbo loser :)

I'm human so there might be a few errors in my counting, but here is a quick breakdown. 320/1,022 (roughly 31%) of entrants for Rivals of Aether II were flat out DQs. However, even removing those DQs, it just swaps places with Strive, the next game down, in terms of entrants.

@AlietteFaye I repurposed a script someone made for counting DQs for Melee at Supernova. Here's what I got for the top 5:
Rivals 2: 319/1022 (31%)
2XKO: 175/938 (19%)
GGST: 151/913 (17%)
SF6: 331/2416 (14%)
T8: 167/1355 (12%)

remember to eat regular meals. drink a fuck ton of water. bring melatonin for sleep if that helps you (I take 0.5mg, highly recommend).
my nerves get 100x worse when I sleep poorly, don't eat, and forget to hydrate.
but also, it's just one tournament. remember to vibe.
