❤️📺 A beautiful moment on Italian television after the Bayern Munich-Atalanta match.
The great Luca Toni told the journalist interviewing Harry Kane that he wants to send him a message:
🗣️🇮🇹 "Please tell Harry that I'm in love with him in a football way. Because he's one of the few pure 9s left in the world, among all those false nines floating around. And he's the best in the world in his position."
🗣️🏴 Harry Kane smiled and responded: "It's an honour what you're saying to me, and even more so coming from a top striker like you. Thank you."
Long live the pure 9s, like Harry and Luca. 😮💨

Although AFCON rules state walking off or refusing to play for a prolonged period is grounds for elimination, the decision to strip Senegal of the AFCON title two months after their trophy lift is a bad look for CAF.
It should be within the power of the officials in real time to disqualify a team, but it's a hollow victory for Morocco to appeal and win in this manner, weeks after the trophy lift.
Morocco accepted Senegal's return from their 10-minute walk off, gladly resumed play and took their penalty.
Missing it, losing the game, then appealing to gain the trophy doesn't sit right, even if by the letter of the law there are grounds to do so.

Union Berlin managing director Horst Heldt criticizes Bayern's complaints about the refereeing and says it will influence the referee at next week's game: "This is simply out of order with regard to the other teams, such a scale of it. And we are the ones suffering. We will be the ones suffering next week. And that's unacceptable. It simply carries a different weight when Bayern Munich publicly addresses such topics. There are always situations where clubs get somewhat upset about decisions. I don't exclude myself from that either. But what's happening right now is incomparable. The next refereeing team at the next match, good luck with that. Bayern have done so many things right in recent years, which is why they're where they are. But they also have to live up to their responsibilities from time to time" [Sky]

I'm not sure Schwensteiger knows there's a woman somewhere in the UK who started supporting Bayern Munich because of him.
I met a woman through my workplace partnerships and in a meeting, I saw that she drank tea from a Bayern Munich teacup. I asked her if she supports Bayern Munich, and if she has German roots or links, and she said she doesn't.
She went on to narrate how she became a Bayern Munich fan at the 2010 World Cup when Germany during one of Germany’s games.
She said Schwensteiger stood out for her in the game and she went on to search for who he was. She discovered he played for Bayern Munich and that's how she became a Bayern Munich supporter.

Although he resumed training yesterday, Jonas Urbig's participation against Atalanta tomorrow is not yet certain. Urbig completed the necessary tests with good results - but he still experienced some discomfort, particularly upon landing after aerial maneuvers. A decision will be made either after today's final training or tomorrow. UEFA's protocols regarding head injuries are decisive in matters concerning concussions. A player may only participate in matches after completing a symptom-free training session – only then can the team doctor grant clearance. Furthermore, an examination by an independent neurological consultant is required [@StefanKumberger, @SPORT1]

The DFB sports court's explanation: "Referee Dingert stated that he observed player Díaz go down during a sprint into the penalty area without any contact from the Leverkusen goalkeeper, which he considered an unsportsmanlike dive. While he only noticed the subsequent contact with the foot after reviewing the video footage following the match, even taking this into account, player Díaz had sought and made contact beforehand, so his decision was not entirely wrong. The fact that the referee’s decision would probably not have been made in the same way had the TV footage been taken into account is irrelevant for the sports court’s assessment. What is crucial is that the incident constitutes a factual decision, which can only be corrected if it is seriously, clearly, and beyond any doubt objectively incorrect. This is not the case here."

Simon Rolfes on Uli Hoeneß' criticism of the referee: "I don't understand his criticism and I don't see it that way. There were interruptions due to VAR. Otherwise, the referee let the game flow; there was a good flow to the game. There were goalscoring chances and challenges. I've experienced much worse games, even though I'm a bit younger"
