Honestly, and I know I'll get hate for this, this is one of the reasons I hate zoomer 'nostalgia' for retro shit they never experienced. Analog sucks, it wasn't fun having to untangle a web of black spaghetti to get to your controller. No, Minecraft looks ugly, those 'low poly' graphics were from a very ugly transition stage, and we used to wish they looked better, it wasn't 'charming'. No, having to dedicate a whole shelf to discs and carts sucked, and I'm glad everything can fit into a flash card without me having to get off the couch and swap games.

And frankly you’re better off having a go at weak, cheaply made remakes than stuff like this, atleast there’s artistic standard there. People have always and will always like remakes.

I was being hyperbolic before I just feel like where the big money is in film and television has grown pretty stagnant.

Have you seen Common Side Effects, Nimona, Scavenger’s Reign, Twilight of the Gods, or any of the indie shows that have been popping up online? There is literally no scarcity of new shit.
