@SteffenAtCloud We are also hotpatch, which sounds like it further complicates matters. Its hard to dig in when things aren't fully baked. Bunch of wasted time trying to ensure readiness, and autopatch/hotpatch intended to address exactly this but what a hot mess!

I haven't had the experience where pswindowsupdate pulls anything the gui doesn't, backend is the same. But I have fixed things by running dell command update to pull down drivers not yet available thru windows update.

Confused that you have strong DKIM/DMARC rules & configured SPF, yet people are still spoofing your CEO's mail in fraud attempts? This may be because you included Salesforce, Mailchimp, or other SaaS in your SPF. Abusers can use free/fraudulent accounts there to spam "as" you.

PowerShell 7.6 is now GA, 127 days after .NET 10 went GA. #PowerShell is a .NET language, deeply tied to the .NET runtime - this is not normal, and already causing issues in the .NET ecosystem for companies like us where PowerShell is *one* of the many supported platforms
Marc-André Moreau@awakecoding

In case you were wondering what the lag was between the first .NET runtime stable release and the first corresponding #PowerShell stable release. Is it just me or it has grown significantly? 🙃 7.4: 2 days after .NET 8 7.5: 51 days after .NET 9 7.6: 131 days after .NET 10 (expected) 👇

@imog @e_considine @esjesjesj It is just fancy adaptive cruise, and if tesla didn't engage in false advertising by referring to it as "full self driving" then maybe people wouldn't put as much faith in the tech.

Btw what happens is drivers see that autopilot is about to cause a crash and disengage it to try to stop the crash and it’s too late. Then tesla gets to say that autopilot wasn’t engaged

@e_considine @BichaelRender @esjesjesj And everytime you disengage it prompts to report what went wrong, and you can send an audio message. So they have a record of every time I've intervened to stop the car from causing an accident. That said, disengaging 4 seconds before a crash looks to me as inattentiveness.

@imog @james_spackler @columbusmonthly Did you read the paragraph on the piece that says how many paying subscribers he has. After factoring in expenses (to wit: having a cameraman accompany him), he's comfortably covering his nut.

Some people hate political blogger D.J. Byrnes’ confrontational ways. Others say he’s reporting what no one else will. One thing has become clear: He is difficult to ignore. columbusmonthly.com/story/lifestyl…

@AnthonyKoochew @merill I couldn't argue otherwise. It just appears to me to be a snake swallowing its own tail to me. Charlatans extorting charlatans. I have a hard time believing anyone gets ahead this way, or anyone reasonable taking away a view of legitimacy. Somewhat baffling.

Yours is a charity they dont deserve. They dish out slop, marketed via spammers. Check out the ‘articles’ on their websites supposedly championing independent thought. Their strategy is to get enough people bought in that others feel theirs is a legitimate enterprise. This ends when people actually look into the business model of the charlatans

Big news 🚨 I’ve been nominated as a “Top 5 Pioneering Leader Shaping the Future in 2026.” The nomination only costs $3500. Actually… $2450 now because of a special leadership discount. If this keeps going I might become a pioneer for $499 by Friday.

@SwiftOnSecurity Seems there are redeeming qualities in the aspect of grid balance - when cyclical demand sags, soaking up excess power generation that can't readily/practicallly be turned down. I wouldn't argue this scenario outweighs the variety of drawbacks, but its a point of benefit.

Would've been so dope if Bitcoin was based on godlike AI compute instead of literally pouring endless human industrial capability into a blackhole of zero productive consequence

@Cerealbox0 @SwiftOnSecurity My least favorite to navigate due to sheer convolutedness: salesforce, netsuite, atlassian My least favorite as its essentially very simple but just a terrible experience: any ISP/telecom portal, CDW

@SwiftOnSecurity What's, like, the hall of fame of worst companies to ever have to deal with? Bell before the breakup? IBM in the 80s? Oracle, Comcast, Atlassian (which is a baby-Bell of IBM after they were broken up)?

Me, an Atlassian customer: >we have too many employees "Okay I get it the post-pandemic was a confusing time for hiring signals" >we're replacing our essential employees on our products with unproven AI output to make them worse "Is there a tunnel we could meet in Melbourne?"

@SwiftOnSecurity I feel dirty anytime after I go into admin atlassian. It's not the salesforce admin panel, but that doesn't mean its not also another ring of hell. Microsoft keeps it fresh with constantly shuffling their admin layouts. Maybe they payoff others to set the bar even lower.

@james_spackler @columbusmonthly Same way people do on substack/patreon. Relevance, promotion of free content and building an audience of supporters Pay isn't great initially. It can build tho. Also aligning with values offers other rewards. Independence, freedom. Looks like hard work, just the slice we see

@AdamGell I gotcha. Felt like asking what I should be interested in it for, googled instead and found the website to be worth sharing for others. First result. AI overview boofed it and told me about the n-able product. AI ad placement? For a direct keyword match felt like misdirection.

Intune Commander 0.4.6.2 is out. 🚀 This release brings the new React-powered desktop UI, a new installer pipeline, and full release packages for both x64 and ARM64 in MSI + MSIX formats.
