In fulfillment of SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, staff of Impact credit Guarantee Limited, recently visited the LASG General Hospital (Odan), Lagos Island, to settle the bills of some indigent patients who were on admission in the hospital.

Therefore, it becomes apparent to support MSMEs and create an enabling environment for them to thrive. ICGL will continue to work with PFIs and MSMEs across all sectors, to create an enabling environment for entrepreneurs and to ensure that MSMEs grow now and into the future.

Impact credit Guarantee takes huge cognizance of the contribution of MSMEs in the Nigeria economy. In a recent survey, it was indicated that MSMEs contribute nearly 50% of the national GDP, account for 96% of businesses and over 80% of employment.

The MSME sector has no doubt been pivotal to the nations growth, including reducing poverty and unemployment levels. Despite their significant contribution to the Nigerian economy, they encounter several challenges that makes it difficult for them to access finance and market.

During the visit, the MD/CEO ICGL pointed out that the company was set up to improve access to finance through the provision of partial credit guarantees and providing technical assistance to participating financial institutions.
