Retium Network Update — Cassandra Protocol Upgrade Yesterday, we deployed a major upgrade to the Retium validator protocol, codenamed Cassandra. This is a fundamental improvement to how the validator network reaches consensus. Cassandra introduces a new synchronization layer that ensures every validator in the Keeper quorum reaches byte-identical agreement on every block, every cycle. The design is inspired by battle-tested patterns used in some of the world’s most reliable distributed systems — including the same family of techniques behind Apache Cassandra, BitTorrent, and IPFS — and adapts them for Retium’s high-throughput mesh architecture. What this means for the network: Stronger synchronization Validators now stay in exact step across the Keeper quorum, even during traffic spikes, network pressure, or short-lived node hiccups. There is no more “almost agreement” — only exact agreement by design. Higher stability under load The protocol is more resilient as throughput increases. In overnight testing, agreement quality improved as the chain processed heavier ticks — a strong signal that the architecture scales in the right direction. Prevention, not recovery Discrepancies that previously required after-the-fact reconciliation are now prevented at the source. Cassandra reduces reliance on backup arbitration during normal operation by making validator agreement cleaner from the beginning. Cassandra has been running live on the staging network since yesterday. It has already survived the highest-throughput tick the chain has ever processed and is firing cleanly across all Keepers. This is the kind of foundational work that does not always make headlines, but it changes what kind of system Retium is. Cassandra moves Retium from a chain that recovers from validator disagreement to one that prevents it at the protocol level. Validators run cleaner. The chain runs faster. The trust surface becomes simpler.

Introducing RAI AI has become part of everyday life. Over the last few years its capabilities have evolved dramatically, and as this technology continues to shape the future of software and infrastructure, Retium is evolving alongside it. Today we would like to introduce RAI — Retium Artificial Intelligence. RAI is a parallel development initiative within the Retium ecosystem. A dedicated team has been formed specifically to design and integrate an AI layer that will work alongside the Retium blockchain. From the very beginning of Retium’s architecture we intentionally left what we called an “AI socket” within the system design. The idea was always to eventually connect an intelligent supervisory layer capable of monitoring the network in real time. That vision is now becoming reality. The first role of RAI will be as an internal intelligence layer that monitors the Retium blockchain. Its purpose is to analyze activity across the network, monitor validator behavior, review performance metrics, detect potential bugs, and help identify malicious or abnormal activity. RAI will continuously process blockchain data and produce reports and recommendations for the development team, helping us improve stability, security, and overall network performance. In simple terms, RAI will act as a continuous analytical brain for the Retium ecosystem, helping developers understand what is happening across the network and where improvements can be made. As RAI continues to be trained on Retium’s architecture, data, and behavior, it will also evolve into a broader AI system similar to the AI assistants people already use every day. The long-term vision goes even further. In the future we aim to transition RAI into a public decentralized AI network running on Retium, where intelligence is distributed across nodes rather than controlled by a single centralized provider. The goal is to create an open, unbiased AI layer that anyone can access and interact with. That stage is still ahead of us, but the foundation begins now. RAI is being developed in parallel with the core Retium blockchain and does not alter or delay Retium’s primary development roadmap. Instead, it represents an additional layer of innovation that has been part of the Retium vision from day one. Retium — where blockchain meets intelligence.
