There is always nuance behind the numbers in the news, but your statement "immigration is actually up" is simply not true.

@implausible17 It’s actually bad news on net migration. It’s lower because a lot of young Brits fled the uk. Immigration is actually up. They are trying to fool you ….

For all the people who have told me to my face that they would vote Reform at the next general election "because we just need a change".... we voted for that change in 2024 and we got it, and look, it's working. Despite the circus, good things are happening. Let's keep going.

Why does the Tory media not report them?

@htranbui I went solo to my showing (I'm Gen X - hopefully you wouldn't have lumped me in with "Elderly" had I been at yours :D) - there were some kids/families but plenty of unaccompanied adults/couples too. The kids mainly laughed, ALL the adults were crying.

But-have none of these people ever driven to somewhere nicer to have a walk or run rather than just jogging around their own house?

@Jediwolf @SHL0MS Most replies look to be from AI bots. But, for the humans, there is bias in the replies of course, but also, no painting has the same impact when viewed digitally on a small screen. I've often been totally floored by a painting in person that would have looked meh on my phone.

@FractalDoctor @tomfgoodwin Ditto, my firm (digital marketing) is almost entirely remote these days. We couldn't all go into the office at the same time if we wanted to, there are only enough hot desks for about a third of us.

The final move from 3/4 days to 5 days in has meant the greatest change but nobody talks about it any more
Work from home basically died for most normal jobs. Basically “nothing ever happens” is often true

@investingluc I think it'll be bubbly in the same way that the dot com boom was bubbly - some AI products will survive and become an integral part of daily life, as the internet did. But many will crash and burn and lose a lot of money.

@anon_opin I sub for a couple of months each year, catch up on Slow Horses, For All Mankind, Ted Lasso & anything else good like Severance, Pluribus, and then cancel again until the following year. Do the same with Disney Plus, Netflix etc, I only pay for one streaming service at a time.
