Major career update post inc.. I've been a player of League of Legends for 15 years at this point (more than half my life lmao). I've played through every meta, rework, update, and have had my own personal ups and downs with the game, but the true magic of League is that you always come back. It was always my dream to work for Riot and about two years ago I finally got my opportunity as a contractor helping the Global Influencer Team on LoL. Working on LoL and having the pleasure to connect with so many creators (new and old) over the past two years has been nothing short of my dream come true. There's never been anything as fulfilling to me as being on a team so dedicated to keeping the game I hold so dearly alive and thriving. I'm so proud of what I have helped the team here to accomplish, and so excited to see what WE can do next. The dog is now an official full-time Rioter 🐶

I’ve been wondering. Why is the “hero” almost always a teenager? Instead of someone with an underdeveloped prefrontal cortex, gimme someone who’s seen everything. A tired mom with no patience is probably the strongest main character possible.

@impuuuu The weird WoW-like autoattack-ability pattern of its combat was kinda rough, but they didn't do too badly with making builds interesting. The world/characters were fun. I do distinctly remember feeling like the ending was very sudden though.

has anyone played dragon age origins? after playing bg3 i was itching for a similar game and saw recs for it and was skeptical with it being an older game. some of the best/funniest writing, immersive/real characters, and adventure story i’ve seen in a game 🥺

@voEROSttv it really is. i couldn’t believe how endearing the characters were right off the bat.

@impuuuu DAO was a fucking masterpiece. The core characters were all SO fucking lovable. Nothing has come close, even including BG3, though they definitely made a good attempt.

@impuuuu Dragon Age Origins was my #1 PC rpg until bg3 released.

@aatroxesq yeah the combat is like extremely unwieldy RTS lol. i was determined to play it on normal difficulty and then was like wait maybe i need to just drop it to easy since the combat is not the most thrilling lol

@impuuuu When I played it 16 years ago I struggled with the combat system as it just wasn’t for me, but it’s got a riveting story, a really well-made world, and some terrific character moments. It isn’t nearly as free as BG3 though as far as choices go. Still, it’s a great old game.

@gubadgyal yeah i was suspicious but it is still brilliant in a lot of ways. the real time combat is not the smoothest but wow the world and story and quests are so much fun

@impuuuu Its a really great rpg, especially when you look at the time it was made. That being said getting it to run on PC is a bit of an investment, but I think it's worth it absolutely!

@britg i have heard mass effect recommended as similar story impact maybe i gotta give it a shot

@impuuuu great game! I tried to revisit it recently and yeeeah, it's rough but if you're playing it on PC there are mods that add new texture packs and stuff to make it workable. It's right up there with Mass Effect in my opinion

@CountCaleb AWE yeah i feel like it can be a little punishing. not much QOL

@impuuuu I have a memory of playing DA:O and enjoying it a little but then it crashed and I lost 10 minutes of gameplay and due to brain damage I never played again unfortunately
